Jessie (college roommate), Andrea, and Dean

I was sad to hear that Andrea Crouch passed away yesterday.  I went off to college in 1972 playing his eight track tapes.  The campus group that I was a part of invited him to come to Mississippi State University.  That was sometime around 1975.

I remember one night when my sister and I were traveling from the universtiy to our parents house when I was stopped by the highway patrol.  He asked if I knew how fast I was driving and I said that I did not.  I said that we were singing along with this tape by Andrea Crouch, and I turned it up.  He listened for a few minutes, told me to slow down, and sent me on my way.

Andrea's music and story still inspires me and I will miss him.

How well I remember that night we were pulled over. I believe you were going 70 mph!!! I will always remember the night Andre came to the home where we met for Bible study each week. He was so gracious to come by after his concert and visited with all of us.
I miss Andre but his music lives on and continues to bless millions of people.
